Beaches:  cleggan-bay_small

Connemara is blessed with sandy, secluded beaches, many of which are ideal for swimmers, and others like Dunlochan near Ballyconneely attract surfers.  Just up the road from Oliver’s you will find Cleggan’s local sandy beach, Sellerna,  and just a few minutes away is the fascinating tidal island of Omey – at low tide you can drive across!

Sea-Angling and Island Trips:

The west coast of Ireland offers some of the best sea-fishing in the world, and charters run from Cleggan Harbour regularly. Trips can be arranged to visit one of the many fascinating and historic islands just off our coastline, such as the former Cromwellian garrison of Inishbofin.
